Global AI companies are igniting a race for technological supremacy by successively unveiling 'proactive briefing' features that organize users' daily schedules before they even ask. These functions analyze user data including emails, calendars, and conversation logs to present the day's agenda or points of interest in advance, evolving AI beyond passive question-and-answer to proactively grasping user intent.

Major global AI players like OpenAI, Google, and Anthropic are competitively showcasing proactive briefing functions such as OpenAI's 'PULSE', Google's 'Daily Brief' and 'DreamBeans', and Anthropic's 'Orbit'. Each company's proactive briefing function offers distinct features: OpenAI's PULSE analyzes users' chat history, notes, feedback, and connected Gmail/Calendar to provide personalized briefings. Google's Daily Brief synthesizes Gmail and Calendar to prioritize tasks and suggest next steps. Google's DreamBeans curates consented Gmail, Calendar, Photos, YouTube, and search history. Anthropic's Orbit provides preemptive briefings through integration with Gmail, Slack, Calendar, Drive, GitHub, and Figma.

Meanwhile, the spread of proactive AI, which involves access to sensitive personal data such as users' emails, schedules, and search history, is simultaneously sparking debates over utility and privacy infringement. Amidst the AI technology race, South Korea faces a significant gap in investment scale compared to the US and China. The Ministry of Science and ICT is accelerating efforts to build an independent ecosystem and link national core infrastructure data through the 'Independent AI Foundation Model (Dokpamo)' project.
