Samsung Electronics has commenced a global meeting to formulate its business strategy for the second half of the year. This meeting focuses on expanding consensus regarding the artificial intelligence (AI) transition to overseas subsidiaries and developing measures to prepare for mid- to long-term global uncertainties. Samsung Electronics has historically held global strategy meetings twice a year, in June and December, to coordinate business objectives and detailed sales strategies.

Samsung Electronics' Device Experience (DX) division will proceed with meetings starting with the MX Business Unit on the 16th, followed by the Visual Display (VD) and Digital Appliances (DA) Business Units on the 17th, and the entire company on the 18th. Discussions will cover regional sales strategies for upcoming new foldable phones planned for release in the second half of the year and methods for synchronizing company-wide AI innovation directions with overseas branches.

The Visual Display (VD) Business Unit will explore strategies focused on AI and the premium market, along with measures to strengthen its platform capabilities. Global supply chain checks and demand fluctuation forecasts following the end of the Middle East conflict are also key agenda items for the home appliance and TV business segments.

The Device Solutions (DS) division meeting will be presided over by Division President Jeon Young-hyun (Executive Vice President) on the 18th. The DS division will review the supply status of high-performance memory, including High Bandwidth Memory (HBM), for major clients in the second half. The Foundry Business Unit will concentrate on diversifying clients and improving yield rates, while also inspecting the construction status of the Taylor fab in the United States.
