Government Selects 229 AI-Powered Products and Services, Pledges 754 Billion Won in Support

The government will select 229 projects through the 'AI Applied Product Rapid Commercialization Support Project (AX Sprint)' and provide a total of 754 billion won in support. Announced on the 19th, this project was prepared to accelerate the AI transition across all sectors of life and industry. The core objective is to launch finished products that citizens can directly experience in the market within 1 to 2 years.

For this open call, 1,604 proposals were submitted for 246 recruitments, resulting in an average competition ratio of 6.5 to 1. The selected 229 projects focused on areas with high public impact, such as agriculture, livestock, fisheries, safety management, and elderly care.

Ninety-one point three percent of the selected projects will be pursued through consortia with demand-side companies. Among the selected companies, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) accounted for 188, representing 82.1% of the total.
