LG Uplus Sees 80% Employee Adoption of AI Work Tool Within a Month

LG Uplus is driving changes in work methods, surpassing an 80% employee utilization rate within approximately one month of adopting the generative artificial intelligence (AI) tool 'Copilot' as its company-wide standard work tool. LG Uplus announced last month that it implemented Microsoft's Copilot as a standard company-wide tool to innovate work methods.

Since Copilot's introduction, employees have performed an average of 86 tasks using AI per person, with 63% of users leveraging AI for work at least once a day, indicating high engagement.

LG Uplus enhanced Copilot's utility by building a dedicated internal environment and integrating internal work data, creating an 'AI that understands the company well.' This allows employees to receive real-time, data-driven answers without security concerns.

With Copilot's implementation, LG Uplus is reporting productivity improvements, such as reducing data classification work time by approximately 90% and streamlining report writing to the point where drafts can be completed with only minor revisions. The company plans to further advance its AI transformation (AX) by establishing optimized AI environments for different types of work in the future.
