Korea, Mongolia PMs Anticipate Strengthened Rare Metals Cooperation

South Korean Prime Minister Kim Boo-kyum met with Mongolian Prime Minister Luvsannamsrai Oyun-Erdene in Dalian, China, on the 23rd, expressing expectations for enhanced supply chain cooperation in the rare metals sector. Prime Minister Kim highlighted Mongolia's status as one of the world's top 10 resource-rich countries and emphasized the importance of future bilateral supply chain collaboration.

Prime Minister Kim is visiting China to attend the Summer Davos Forum, and this meeting took place with the Mongolian Prime Minister during his visit to the region.

Both sides discussed cooperation in the fields of rare metals and critical minerals, exchanging expectations regarding the role of the Korea-Mongolia Rare Metals Cooperation Center, which was launched late last year. Mongolian Prime Minister Oyun-Erdene also expressed his pleasure at the center's opening.
