Next Year's Minimum Wage: Labor Proposes ₩11,970, Management ₩10,340 in Revised Offers
In discussions to determine next year's minimum wage, labor and management have put forth revised proposals of ₩11,970 and ₩10,340 per hour, respectively. These two figures represent a slight narrowing of the gap from the parties' initial demands.
The first revised proposals submitted on this day reduced the gap in minimum wage demands by ₩50, but still showed a difference of ₩1,630.
Next year's minimum wage will now be finalized based on the decision of the government and the committee. The statutory deadline for minimum wage deliberation has already passed. The Minimum Wage Committee is required to submit its proposal to the Minister of Employment and Labor no later than mid-July.
