Disability Rights Group Resumes Subway Boarding Protests, Public Inconvenience Unavoidable
The National Federation of Persons with Disabilities (KNHRC) has resumed its rush-hour boarding protests on Seoul Subway Line 1 for the first time in about six months.
Resuming protests that were temporarily suspended in January, KNHRC is demanding that disability rights funding be included in the government's budget for 2027 and that 400 severely disabled workers who were fired by the Seoul Metropolitan Government be reinstated to their original positions.
KNHRC also resumed its bus protest during rush hour yesterday, the 1st, and plans to continue its bus boarding protests every Wednesday at the same bus stop.
