HD Hyundai Electric Signs $1.1 Trillion Long-Term Supply Deal with North American Big Tech
HD Hyundai Electric has signed a framework agreement with a world-leading major IT company for the supply of power equipment worth up to 1.1212 trillion won. This is part of its strategy to penetrate the North American market, essential for data center power infrastructure.
The contract includes 553.9 billion won worth of distribution equipment used for distributing electricity and 567.3 billion won worth of power equipment for stably supplying and managing power. HD Hyundai Electric is scheduled to sequentially deliver these products to data center construction sites in North America by 2028.
HD Hyundai Electric will supply the distribution and power equipment in an integrated package form, a method that enhances power infrastructure design consistency and reduces risks related to delivery times, quality, and after-sales service. This integrated supply structure, leveraging a product portfolio that covers the entire power value chain, has secured differentiated competitiveness.
A representative from HD Hyundai Electric stated that the contract is a result of meeting the stringent quality standards of a global big tech firm and receiving recognition for its competitiveness in both distribution and power equipment. The company plans to further strengthen its position in the data center power infrastructure market by expanding customized package supplies that encompass a wide range of products.
