People Power Party to Hold Ethics Committee Meeting Tomorrow for Disciplinary Review

The People Power Party's Central Ethics Committee will hold a full meeting tomorrow afternoon to deliberate on disciplinary matters within the party. Over 40 disciplinary requests have been filed with the committee, including those concerning lawmakers who aided the election campaign of Han Dong-hoon, who ran as an independent and won in the Busan Buk-gap by-election on June 3rd.

Requests to discipline lawmakers belonging to 'Alternatives and Future,' a faction that has publicly called for the resignation of People Power Party leader Jang Dong-hyuk, have also been submitted.

Ahead of the disciplinary proceedings, conflict between the party leadership faction and a rival faction has escalated into an emotional dispute over Han Dong-hoon's visit to mourn at Jang Dong-hyuk's family bereavement. The People Power Party has stated its intention to reestablish party principles through this renewed operation of the Ethics Committee.
