Chaos at June 3 Polling Station... Citizens Swarm to Protest Extension Until 10 PM
On the 3rd, at the 2nd Precinct in Jamshil 7-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul, the voting deadline was extended to 10 PM due to a shortage of ballots. However, confusion ensued as doors were locked, restricting voting, while the counting process had already begun.
After the Seoul Election Commission announced the extension until 10 PM, citizens flocked to the station upon hearing the news. Amidst ensuing protests, staff members re-locked the entrance doors at 9:15 PM.
Only voters who arrived before 6 PM and had received waiting slips could be verified through the door gap to cast their votes.
