Kim Min-seok, a candidate in the Democratic Party leadership election, visited Bongha Village, Kimhae, South Gyeongsang Province on the Nth day and stated regarding his past departure from the party during the unification process for candidate Roh Moo-hyun in 2002, "I bow my head once again to offer my apologies."

While paying his respects at the grave of former President Roh Moo-hyun in Bongha Village that afternoon, Candidate Kim posted a message on social media reflecting on his political trajectory. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), he offered a deep apology to former President Roh and his supporters, acknowledging that he spent 18 years in the political wilderness due to his misjudgment and shortcomings at the time.

Former South Gyeongsang Province Governor Kim Kyung-soo accompanied Candidate Kim on this visit to Bongha Village.
