The People Power Party (PPP) Central Ethics Committee initiated disciplinary proceedings against Reps. Cho Kyung-tae, Kwon Young-se, and Jin Jong-oh on the 27th. The disciplinary action against Rep. Kwon Young-se is scheduled to be officially discussed at a general meeting of lawmakers on the 30th.

The decision was made with only three members in attendance, including Chairman Yoon Min-woo, leading to an outcry regarding the legitimacy of the procedure. Vice Chairman Woo Jong-hwan and member Hwang Gyeong-seon boycotted the meeting, criticizing Chairman Yoon and questioning the validity of the process.

Rep. Cho Kyung-tae, one of the targets of this disciplinary review, faces allegations of calling for the defeat of National Assembly Vice Speaker Park Deok-heum. Rep. Kwon Young-se is accused of grabbing House Leader Jung Jin-seok by the collar in protest of committee assignments, while Rep. Jin Jong-oh faces charges for supporting independent candidate Han Dong-hoon during the Busan by-election.
