Key semiconductor talent at Samsung Electronics is steadily leaving for rival SK Hynix. The exodus of technical personnel is becoming visible, with engineers from Samsung—including some with three and eight years of tenure—applying for recent SK Hynix job postings.

One field engineer at Samsung Electronics stated, “Morale has hit rock bottom. Out of 30 team members, most recently applied to SK Hynix, and even my direct supervisor encouraged changing jobs.”

Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix are locked in an aggressive war for compensation and talent acquisition as they race to secure the personnel needed to lead the artificial intelligence semiconductor market.
