LS ELECTRIC Kicks Off Mass Production of Next-Gen ESS PCS G2

LS ELECTRIC is launching its offensive in the global market by commencing mass production of 'G2', a key solution for next-generation Energy Storage Systems (ESS). On the 5th, LS ELECTRIC held the 'First Shipment Ceremony for Next-Generation ESS PCS G2' at its DC Factory in Cheonan, Chungnam, with Chairman Koo Ja-kyun, employees, and stakeholders in attendance.

The 'G2', now entering full-scale mass production, is a core solution for 'battery-integrated ESS' developed with LS ELECTRIC's proprietary Power Conversion System (PCS) design technology, enhancing operational efficiency and space utilization. Notably, it incorporates innovative water-cooling technology to strengthen heat dissipation control performance and durability, and its compact structure provides an optimal power operating environment even in confined spaces.

The Cheonan DC Factory, the manufacturing base for 'G2', is the world's first 100% direct current (DC) distribution factory, demonstrating the power-saving effects of DC distribution by improving overall factory energy efficiency by over 10%. Through this production system, which integrates technological reliability and quality competitiveness, LS ELECTRIC plans to secure a technological advantage in the global market.

The global ESS market is experiencing rapid growth driven by increasing power demand from AI data centers and the expansion of renewable energy deployment. The U.S. market, in particular, is projected to expand to 600 GWh by 2030. Amidst this, as major developed countries such as the United States and Japan strengthen regulations on Chinese power equipment supply chains, this presents a new opportunity for LS ELECTRIC, which possesses technological reliability, to expand its market presence.
