North Korea Fires Ballistic Missile into East Sea…Travels 700km

It has been confirmed through South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) that a single ballistic missile launched by North Korea from the Wonsan area toward the East Sea at around 6 a.m. on the 12th flew over 700km.

Japan’s Ministry of Defense analyzed the flight distance at approximately 690km and the maximum altitude at about 90km, adding that no damage to aircraft or vessels has been confirmed so far.

South Korean and U.S. intelligence authorities have been sharing developments since the early stages of the launch and also shared information with Japan. South Korea and the U.S. are currently conducting a detailed analysis of the missile’s exact specifications.
