Former President Moon Jae-in sent a video message to the Democratic Party of Korea's national convention on the 17th, urging caution against internal competition leading to division and calling for unity centered around the new leadership to support the Lee Jae-myung government. The event was held at the Daejeon Convention Center in Yuseong-gu, Daejeon, on this day. Former President Moon stated, "It is true that I have significant concerns looking at this party convention," and added, "We are in big trouble if this continues."

Amidst this, the point he emphasized was the duty of the ruling party. Former President Moon noted, "The current state of national affairs is very grave," and pointed out, "As the ruling party responsible for state affairs, the Democratic Party's given responsibility is extremely heavy." He then ordered, "Immediately following the conclusion of the party convention, shake off conflicts and firmly gather your strength centered around the newly launching leadership."

Finally, he concluded his congratulatory message by mentioning the people's livelihood. Former President Moon said, "I earnestly urge you to strongly support the success of the Lee Jae-myung government and focus all capabilities on stabilizing people's livelihoods, fully caring for the weary lives of the people."
