Nvidia to Raise AI Server Prices by 15% Starting Early Next Year
The world's largest artificial intelligence (AI) chip developer, Nvidia, is raising the price of its AI servers by more than 15%. Bloomberg reported on the 22nd (local time), citing sources, that Nvidia recently informed major customers of this price increase.
The increase will apply to shipments beginning early next year, and next-generation products such as 'Vera Rubin' and 'Grace Blackwell' are also included in the price hike.
Analysts suggest that this move demonstrates the increased bargaining power of the "Big Three" memory makers—Samsung Electronics, SK hynix, and Micron—which account for the majority of global memory production. Other Big Tech firms, including Apple and Qualcomm, have previously raised product prices citing a memory shortage.
