Rep. Kim Seung-won's entire office staff refuse to show up after hiring of hometown association head as grade-5 aide

Rep. Kim Seung-won's entire office staff stopped showing up for work after it came to light that he had hired the head of his local hometown association as a grade-5 secretary.

It was also reported that Rep. Kim's daughter had been hired as an intern at the same office.

Opposition Rep. Park Jeong-hun claimed the hiring was a reward for the association head's support during the local elections, and that the position carries an annual salary of around 80 million won. Rep. Kim's office has offered no explanation regarding the hiring.
