PPP Urges President Lee Jae-myung to Withdraw Charges and Renounce Constitutional Amendment for Second Term

On the 17th, ahead of President Lee Jae-myung's press conference, the People Power Party held its own press conference in the National Assembly's press center, calling on the president to withdraw the prosecution's charges against him (i.e., for the prosecution to drop the indictment), comply with the trial, and publicly and unconditionally declare in his own words that he will "not pursue a constitutional amendment for a second term or reelection."

Choe Bo-yoon, the party's chief spokesperson, speaking at the press conference in the National Assembly press center at 5 p.m., also demanded the withdrawal of the nominations of Justice Minister nominee Kim Seung-won and Defense Minister nominee Kang Shin-chul, or a decisive resolution of their status,

along with an apology for the failure of the government's real estate policy, a review of tax and lending regulations, and acceptance of a special prosecutor to investigate leveraged single-stock ETFs (exchange-traded funds that track index movements at twice the rate).
