President Lee Jae Myung and Wife Attend Stray Kids Concert in Mexico

President Lee Jae Myung and his wife attended a concert by the group Stray Kids at GNP Stadium in Mexico City on Thursday (local time), together with local young people, during his state visit to Mexico. Before the show began, President Lee and First Lady Kim Hye Kyung met with 10 Mexican youths. Park Jin-young, CCO of JYP Entertainment and co-chairman of the Committee for Cultural Exchange, also joined the gathering.

Laughter erupted when President Lee greeted the crowd in Spanish, saying "Hola, amigos" (Hello, friends). "Culture seems to connect not only people with people, but also nation with nation," the president said, adding that he was truly grateful for the love K-pop has received. "You are fortunate to have this opportunity today, and it will become a cherished memory for a lifetime. Enjoy tonight's performance," he told them.

First Lady Kim said, "I hope this performance becomes an unforgettable night in your lives," before asking the young people which Stray Kids member was their favorite. When the answer came back "Bang Chan," she responded warmly.

After the meeting, the presidential couple and the youths moved to the second-floor balcony seats of the venue, waving light sticks and greeting the audience. Kim waved her light stick alongside Mexican Minister of Culture Claudia Curiel de Icaza.
