Negative Assessment of President's Performance Falls 5 Points to 51%... Democratic Party 35% vs. People Power Party 26%
Negative assessments of the president's performance in office stood at 51%.


According to a Gallup Korea telephone survey of 1,000 adults nationwide conducted from October 6 to 8, 2026, 37% of respondents said the president is doing a good job in office, while 51% said the president is doing a poor job. 12% withheld their opinion.
Party Support
In the survey of party support, the Democratic Party of Korea recorded 35%, while the People Power Party stood at 26%. The gap between the two parties was 9 percentage points, exceeding twice the margin of error (±3.1 percentage points). 31% of respondents said they support no party.
Changes From the Previous Survey
Compared with the September 17 survey, positive assessments of the president's performance remained unchanged at 37%. Negative assessments fell 5 percentage points from 56% to 51%, while those withholding opinion rose 5 percentage points from 7% to 12%.
Support for the Democratic Party fell 5 percentage points from 40% to 35%. The People Power Party declined 1 percentage point from 27% to 26%. The share of independents rose 6 percentage points from 25% to 31%.
