Han Dong-hoon Demands Apology from President Lee Jae-myung Over 'Fake News' Claims

Han Dong-hoon, former leader of the People Power Party, has initiated a dispute by demanding a public apology from then-President Lee Jae-myung regarding past 'fake news' controversies. In a post on his Facebook account, Han claimed that Lee, who was president at the time, wielded his power to pressure the broadcast program 'That's What I Want to Know' into issuing an apology.

He added that President Lee had indicated he had 'something to settle' with Han, implying he intended to hold him accountable.

Han asserted that then-President Lee directly instigated 'allegations surrounding the Cheongdam-dong drinking party' and 'allegations related to Baek Hae-ryong,' even after these claims were found to be untrue. He criticized President Lee for not yet apologizing to him regarding these matters and urged him to 'settle the score accurately' to clarify his position.
