Foreign media reports have emerged stating that US President Donald Trump said he is strongly considering withdrawing from the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).

In an interview with the British daily The Telegraph on the 31st (local time), President Trump was asked if he would reconsider the US's NATO membership after the Iran war. He replied, "Yes. I would say we are past the stage of reconsideration." President Trump claimed NATO had never influenced him, adding, "I always knew they were a paper tiger, and Putin (Russian President Vladimir Putin) knows it too."

"I thought the allies' support for US requests should be automatic," Trump said. "It was a kind of test, and we were there for them. They were not there for us."
