Gasoline and Diesel Prices Climb for Third Consecutive Week, Nearing 2,000 Won
Gasoline and diesel prices at gas stations nationwide have risen for three consecutive weeks, nearing 2,000 won per liter. The national average gasoline selling price for the third week of April (12-18) was recorded at 1,996.3 won per liter, and diesel at 1,990.2 won. By region, Jeju saw the highest average gasoline price this week at 2,029 won per liter, while Seoul exceeded 2,000 won at 2,026.7 won.
By brand, SK Energy recorded the highest average gasoline selling price this week at 2,001.8 won per liter, while value gas stations were the cheapest at 1,974.7 won. Diesel prices were also highest with SK Energy at 1,995.2 won, and lowest at value gas stations at 1,966.1 won.
Meanwhile, international oil prices have fallen despite the domestic price surge. Dubai crude oil prices dropped amid expectations of an end to the conflict between the U.S. and Iran. As of April 16, Dubai crude oil was priced at $101.8 per barrel, a decrease of $4.7 from $106.5 on April 13.
