Korea-US Finalize Critical Minerals Cooperation Framework

The U.S. Treasury Secretary and the then-South Korean Deputy Prime Minister met and officially finalized a cooperation framework aimed at securing critical minerals between South Korea and the United States.

This cooperation framework aims to strengthen supply chains for critical minerals essential for future industries, foster a fair trade environment, and jointly respond to market-distorting policies and unfair trade practices.

The meeting was held in Washington D.C. on the occasion of the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting.
