Lee Jin-sook Positively Considering National Assembly Return After Jang Dong-hyuk's Proposal
People Power Party leader Jang Dong-hyuk reportedly proposed to Lee Jin-sook, former Chairperson of the Korea Communications Commission, that she re-enter the National Assembly, including participation in the Science, Technology, Information, and Communications Committee. The former chairperson is said to have responded positively to the offer.
Spokesperson Lee Jun-woo added that the former chairperson responded positively to the request to enter parliament and that her chances of entering the Assembly through a by-election are higher than a bid for the Daegu mayoral seat.
Meanwhile, regarding Representative Joo Ho-young's anticipated move to unify with former chairperson Lee Jin-sook, spokesperson Lee stated, "It is merely the stance of Rep. Joo's side," and assessed, "Given the significant gap in approval ratings, the possibility of this materializing is not high."
