Large Fire at Seoul Greenhouse Village Extinguished in an Hour

A major fire broke out at Jangjihwahe Village in Songpa-gu, Seoul, on the morning of the 23rd.

The fire department issued a first-level response and began firefighting operations around 9:27 AM after the fire started in a residential greenhouse. A total of 102 personnel and 29 pieces of equipment were mobilized, and the fire was completely put out around 10:29 AM, approximately one hour after it began.

The blaze destroyed two greenhouses and two external storage units. One man in his 70s suffered minor injuries, and eight residents were displaced.

Police and fire authorities are investigating the exact scale of damage and the cause of the fire.
