The Democratic Party has criticized the People Power Party's (PPP) nomination results for local and National Assembly by-elections, stating, "There was no reform; it all culminated in 'Yoon Again'." Baek Seung-ah, the Democratic Party's floor spokesperson, pointed out in a written briefing that the PPP's nominations were filled with figures reminiscent of President Yoon Suk-yeol, rehashed from the past, in a 'Yoon Suk-yeol-like' fashion.

The Democratic Party cited specific examples, including the PPP's uncontested nominations of Lee Jin-sook, former Chairperson of the Korea Communications Commission (KCC), in Dalseong, Daegu; Lee Yong, former lawmaker, in Hanam Gap, Gyeonggi Province; and Kim Tae-gyu, former Vice Chairperson of the KCC, in Ulsan Nam-gu Gap. According to the Democratic Party, Lee Jin-sook had protested being cut from the Daegu mayoral primary, Lee Yong is known as a 'Yoon Suk-yeol loyalist,' and Kim Tae-gyu is known for his statement that "martial law is the President's exclusive authority.".

Furthermore, the Democratic Party questioned the PPP's nomination of Jung Jin-suk, former Chief of Staff to the President, for the by-election in Gongju-Buyeo-Cheongyang, Chungnam Province, pointing to his position as the President's closest confidant during the "December 3rd illegal martial law" and asking about his responsibility for the constitutional destruction.

The Democratic Party assessed that the PPP chose to remain a "Yoon Suk-yeol party," ignoring internal concerns. It urged the party to cease its 'Yoon Suk-yeol Again' nominations, which they described as deceiving the public, if they intended to speak of reform.
