Obama: No Evidence of Aliens; Government 'Terrible' at Keeping Secrets

Former U.S. President Barack Obama stated that the government is incapable of concealing information about aliens because "governments are very bad at keeping secrets," addressing claims of alien existence and suspicions that the government is hiding them.

Speaking on a talk show hosted by Stephen Colbert, Obama dismissed these conspiracy theories, saying that if the government were hiding the truth about extraterrestrial life, the information would have leaked long ago.

Obama joked that if extraterrestrial beings existed and made contact with Earth, he could serve as Earth's emissary.

Previously, Obama hinted at the possibility of extraterrestrial life in a podcast appearance in February 2026, but later clarified via Instagram that he had not seen any evidence of aliens visiting Earth.
