Democratic Party Vows Local Election Victory, Promises Compensation for Honam Region

The Democratic Party held a candidate rally on the 12th, pledging victory in the local elections. The party leadership expressed its determination to win these elections and drive regional development.

Democratic Party leader Jung Cheong-rae mentioned the spirit of May 18th, saying, "We will grant Honam special compensation for its special sacrifices."

He added that the administrative integration of the Jeonnam and Gwangju regions, decided ahead of the elections, has secured a total of 20 trillion won in support funds over four years, describing it as "compensation for special sacrifices, achieved through President Lee Jae-myung's decision."
