Cho Kuk Innovation Party Jeonnam Chapter Spokesperson Dismissed After Posting Presidential Criminal Record

The Jeonnam Provincial Chapter of the Cho Kuk Innovation Party dismissed its provincial chapter spokesperson, Choi Hae-guk, on the 18th, for posting President Lee Jae-myung's criminal record on social media on the 11th.

When a drunk driving history of a local election candidate in the Yeosu region became an issue, Choi uploaded President Lee Jae-myung's criminal record, which was submitted to the Election Commission during the 2018 Gyeonggi Province gubernatorial election, to his Facebook page on the same day.

Subsequently, criticism arose, primarily from the Democratic Party, that the president's criminal record was being used for electoral purposes, and Choi deleted the post. The Cho Kuk Innovation Party's Jeonnam Provincial Chapter then issued an apology statement and dismissed Choi.
