LG CNS, Kurly to Pilot Humanoid Robots
LG CNS is partnering with Kurly to launch a pilot project for humanoid robots in logistics centers. The strategy is to enhance logistics automation levels by combining AI and robot technology, and to accelerate competition in building next-generation smart logistics centers.
Through the MOU, the two companies plan to verify the on-site applicability of humanoid robots in Kurly's actual logistics system and test whether robots can perform physically demanding tasks. By applying LG CNS's robot learning and operation platform 'PhysicalWorks,' they will analyze task accuracy, execution speed, and efficiency improvement levels compared to existing operations.
LG CNS aims to increase operational efficiency across the entire logistics process, from inbound to storage, picking, and outbound, by integrating automated facilities and operating systems at Kurly's logistics centers. This initiative is based on their experience in building Kurly's Gimpo Complex Logistics Center and Changwon Logistics Center.
Based on successful cases of humanoid robot application through this collaboration, the two companies will jointly explore new business opportunities and expand the scope of cooperation to broaden the market for robot-based logistics intelligence.
