KT Successfully Applies Quantum-Resistant Cryptography to Key Military Systems

KT has successfully applied quantum-resistant cryptography-based security technology to key defense systems by participating in the '2026 Quantum-Resistant Cryptography Pilot Transition Support Project,' led by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Internet & Security Agency.

KT promoted a demonstration project to apply quantum-resistant cryptography modules to actual key defense system segments targeting the Ministry of National Defense and the Army Signal School. In a consortium with Daeyoung S&T and ESE, the company applied the technology to various infrastructure, including smart unit platforms, CCTV, drones, and 5G routers.

Based on the verification results and operational experience secured through this project, KT plans to gradually expand the scope of quantum-resistant cryptography application to public and private sectors in the future.
