Humanoid Robots, Mimicking Humans, Are Set to Enter Industrial Sites
Hyundai Motor Group's humanoid robot 'Atlas' successfully demonstrated its ability to lift a 23kg refrigerator, perform a 180-degree torso rotation, and place it on a table. The robot proved its capacity for full-body control and manipulation of external objects, signaling its imminent deployment in industrial fields.
Hyundai is planning to gradually introduce 25,000 'Atlas' robots into its own factories starting in 2028.
LG CNS is partnering with e-commerce company Kurly to conduct pilot tests of humanoid robots in a logistics center. Through this collaboration, the robots are expected to reduce the workload for human employees and streamline the entire logistics process.
