Hyundai Motor Revolutionizes Decision-Making with AI
Hyundai Motor is embarking on an innovation of its Market Intelligence (MI) operations, utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology to swiftly respond to the rapidly changing automotive industry and support executive decision-making. The Hyundai Motor Group's Product Division Market Intelligence (MI) Center announced its policy and the status and future plans of its AI-based Market Intelligence system, 'AIMI,' at 'AWS Summit Seoul 2026,' held at COEX in Seoul.
Director Sun Woo-kyung diagnosed the current automotive industry as facing unprecedented challenges and opportunities, including the EV 'chasm,' the rise of Chinese OEMs, and the transition to Software Defined Vehicles (SDVs). She explained that while the MI Center's role has become crucial amidst complex internal and external environments, it faces structural dilemmas such as processing vast amounts of data and limitations in inter-organizational data sharing, despite being responsible for supporting executive decisions, forecasting customer demand, and planning product strategies.
Director Sun Woo-kyung announced the adoption of the 'AIMI' system, which combines 'AI Architecture Intelligence' with MI, to overcome these dilemmas and surpass the limitations of data utilization. AIMI will help AI play a role in deriving the company's strategic direction by rigorously processing and utilizing exploding data volumes.
