The Democratic Party of Korea announced it will mobilize all means to actively respond to situations obstructing the National Assembly's proceedings.

Amidst the People Power Party's non-participation in National Assembly activities, the party explained the election of 11 standing and special committee chairs as the first step towards creating a "working National Assembly." The Democratic Party pointed out that despite 17 rounds of negotiations for committee formations, the People Power Party insisted solely on the Legal Affairs Committee chairmanship.

The Democratic Party of Korea declared it will officially commence work on revising the Criminal Procedure Act, considered crucial for prosecutorial reform. Interim Leader Han Byung-do explained that a public consensus has been formed on the complete separation of investigation and prosecution, and that the party, government, and presidential office are cooperating. The Democratic Party has initiated the revision of the Criminal Procedure Act, focusing on the floor leadership, policy committee, and the Committee for Legal Affairs.

The Democratic Party's stance comes as the conflict between the ruling and opposition parties intensifies over the formation of parliamentary committees for the latter half of the term. The People Power Party has labeled the unilateral election of standing committee chairs as "legislative dictatorship," signaling significant repercussions for future National Assembly operations.
