President Lee Jae-myung Holds 140-Minute Summit with Brazil's Lula; Promotes Joint Rocket Launch in September

President Lee Jae-myung held a 140-minute summit with Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva at the presidential residence in Brasilia on the 27th (local time) to discuss the development of bilateral relations and practical cooperation measures. Building on this meeting, the leaders signed a total of seven memoranda of understanding (MOUs) and memoranda of cooperation (MOCs) to strengthen collaboration across comprehensive fields including space, energy, industrial technology, sports, and education.

During a joint press conference following the meeting, President Lula formally extended an invitation to President Lee to personally attend a joint launch event for a new launch vehicle scheduled for September at the Alcântara Launch Center. As space cooperation was a key agenda item during this summit, the upcoming full-scale cooperation in the space industry is expected to yield significant technological exchanges and economic ripple effects.

After concluding the official schedule, the leaders expressed their friendly sentiments by making finger hearts during a commemorative photo, demonstrating that this summit served as an opportunity to further solidify trust and cooperation between the two nations.
