Robot Barista Sets World Record with 202 Cups per Hour

A coffee shop in Beijing, China, set a new world record on its opening day after a robot made 202 cups of coffee in one hour.

The cafe utilizes a robot that automatically manages the entire process, from bean extraction to serving. Capable of producing a beverage in under 30 seconds, this high-speed manufacturing method allows the shop to operate 24 hours a day.

The ordering process is also automated. When a customer orders coffee, the brewing process is displayed on a screen, and the beverage is retrieved by inputting a mobile phone number. However, when time for labeling and serving is added, it can take over three minutes to receive the drink.
