Han Dong-hoon criticizes reports of legal action against Yu Si-min, saying "A president can't win against Yu Si-min"

Independent Rep. Han Dong-hoon posted a rebuttal on Facebook on the 26th to reports that the presidential office was considering legal action against writer Yu Si-min, directly criticizing President Lee Jae-myung. The lawmaker argued that it was absurd for the president to consider legal action against a commentator from his own camp who is not even a politician.

He noted that he had taken legal action over fake news spread by Yu in the past — claiming that Han's accounts at the Roh Moo-hyun Foundation had been traced — won the case, and received a public letter of apology from Yu, saying it was "the power of 'facts.'" The presidential office has not yet decided whether to pursue legal action against Yu.

Meanwhile, regarding the accident on the western front in the DMZ, which Rep. Han described as a "landmine attack," the military has not confirmed it as an attack by North Korean landmines. The Joint Chiefs of Staff explained that the suspected North Korean mine installation area is dozens of meters away from the accident site, and that it is investigating all possibilities, including previously lost landmines.
