Former U.S. President Donald Trump, in connection with a shooting threat incident that occurred during a White House state dinner, revealed that an individual present at the time drew a weapon. Trump explained the circumstances of the incident, stating that the Secret Service's swift response prevented casualties. During the shooting threat, Secret Service agents moved urgently, weapons drawn, to immediately identify the perpetrator.

Trump added that a Secret Service agent, who was directly hit by a bullet, was unharmed thanks to a bulletproof vest and is in good health.

President Trump pointed out that the Washington Hilton Hotel, where the incident occurred, "is not a particularly secure building." He emphasized the need for a White House ballroom equipped with drone prevention and bulletproof glass facilities.

Trump explained that the suspect ran from about 50 yards away and that Secret Service agents responded immediately. He noted that the agents demonstrated excellent reaction speed, responding with weapons drawn. Reports indicated that the suspect is currently in custody and under investigation.

President Trump characterized the incident as a personal attack attempt. He cited past instances where he himself faced death threats, mentioning incidents in Pennsylvania and Florida where assassination attempts were made against him. He described the shooter in this case as a "very sick person" residing in California.
