Seoul Apartment Subscriptions Soar Amidst Fierce Competition, Gyeonggi Province Sees Slowdown

The subscription fever for apartments in Seoul, where prices are soaring, was hot, but Gyeonggi Province continued to maintain a chilly atmosphere. According to the results of first-priority subscriptions for new apartment sales in the Seoul metropolitan area announced by Cheongyak Home on the 29th, 'Gongdeok Station Xyrene' in Mapo-gu, Seoul, continued its subscription heat with an 80 to 1 competition ratio in the first-priority round. In contrast, areas in Gyeonggi Province such as Gwangju, Dongtan in Hwaseong, and Godeok in Pyeongtaek showed sluggish performance, with only some housing types selling out within the priority rankings.

'Gongdeok Station Xyrene' recorded an average competition ratio of 79.99 to 1, with 6,639 applications for 83 units available. The 52㎡ type showed the highest competition ratio at 100.18 to 1. This complex also recorded an average competition ratio of 70.87 to 1 in the special subscription. The price per 3.3㎡ is 69.03 million won, and the 59㎡ type is priced at 1.7 billion won.

The first-priority subscription performance for new sales in Gyeonggi Province's Gwangju, Hwaseong Dongtan, and Pyeongtaek Godeok areas was low. 'Dongtan Gwenn 160' saw only 4 out of 7 housing types, 115㎡ and above, sell out within the priority rankings. For 'Gyeonggi Gwangju Station Lotte Castle Signature 1st,' only two small units, 59㎡ A and C, sold out within the first priority with competition ratios of 11.22 to 13.86 to 1, but most medium-to-large units of 84㎡ and above were undersubscribed. 'Godeok New City Aterra' recorded an average competition ratio of 0.25 to 1, with only 145 applications for 580 units available, leaving 469 units undersubscribed in the first priority. The 84㎡ unit price for 'Godeok New City Aterra' was 536 million won.
