National Assembly by-elections will be held in 14 constituencies on June 3, coinciding with the 9th National Simultaneous Local Elections. Most of these elections are being held due to incumbent lawmakers vacating their seats by taking on government posts or running for metropolitan mayor positions. The races are drawing significant attention from political circles as various figures aim to secure seats in the National Assembly.

In Busan's Buk District-gap, Han Dong-hoon, former leader of the People Power Party, and Ha Jung-woo, former Senior Secretary for AI Future Planning at the presidential office, are running. This constituency became vacant after Democratic Party lawmaker Jeon Jae-soo ran for Busan mayor.

Cho Kuk, leader of the Cho Kuk Innovation Party, is running in Pyeongtaek-eul, Gyeonggi Province. This district is a special election area following the vacating of his seat by former Democratic Party lawmaker Lee Byung-jin.

Lee Kwang-jae, a former lawmaker, is running in Hanam-gap, Gyeonggi Province, while Song Young-gil, a former party leader, is running in Incheon's Yeonsu-gap. These constituencies became vacant after lawmakers Choo Mi-ae and Park Chan-dae ran for metropolitan mayor positions, respectively.

Kim Nam-jun, former spokesperson for the presidential office, is running in Incheon's Gyeyang-eul, and Jeon Eun-su, also a former spokesperson, is running in Asan-eul, South Chungcheong Province. Lee Jin-suk, former chairperson of the Korea Communications Commission, is running in Dalseong, Daegu, and Kim Tae-gyu, former vice-chairman of the Korea Communications Commission, is running in Ulsan's Nam District-gap.

Jung Jin-seok, former Chief of Staff to the President, is seeking to run in Gongju-Buyeo-Cheongyang, South Chungcheong Province.
