Buttigieg Couple Pushes Back Against Criticism of New TV Series

The couples of Pete Buttigieg, the US Secretary of Transportation, and former US Representative Sean Duffy have engaged in a public war of words over each other's TV series. The Buttigiegs pushed back against the Duffys' criticism of inflation after the Duffys created a documentary-style TV series about a 'taxpayer-funded road trip'.

Mrs. Duffy clarified that the TV series was produced with funding from a non-profit organization and was not for personal gain. Sean Duffy claimed that the reason 'radical, miserable leftists' dislike the series is because it is too wholesome, too patriotic, and too fun. He emphasized that his participation was reviewed and approved according to federal regulations, and filming was conducted strictly within a short period.

Following the Duffys' explanation, Chasten Buttigieg shared a post on X criticizing Donald Trump's economic policies and targeting the corporate sponsors of the road trip. They raised concerns about potential conflicts of interest, suggesting that these companies had 'provided the Secretary of Transportation with a long vacation'.

Separately, defending their performance at the Department of Transportation, they highlighted achievements such as the introduction of a modernized air traffic control system, the removal of illegal truck drivers, and increased air traffic controller hiring.
