Yoo Jeong-bok, Yang Hyang-ja Criticize Democratic Party Candidates Over Daejang-dong Scandal
People Power Party candidates Yoo Jeong-bok for Incheon Mayor and Yang Hyang-ja for Gyeonggi Governor criticized Democratic Party candidates on the 17th, centering their attack on the 'Daejang-dong development project' allegations. The two candidates held a press conference at the People Power Party's headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul, arguing that it was inappropriate for Democratic Party candidates to defend the allegations related to the Daejang-dong project or positively evaluate its development methods.
Yang Hyang-ja specifically named Democratic Party Gyeonggi Governor candidate Choo Mi-ae and candidate Park Chan-dae, stating that their remarks harm the rule of law and the market economy. Yang added that Choo Mi-ae actively comments on national political issues while not attending debates.
Yoo Jeong-bok also criticized Democratic Party candidate Park Chan-dae for describing the Daejang-dong development method as a 'creative idea' and expressing an intention to apply it to Incheon's development, pointing out that such an approach obscures proper discussions on regional development.
Yoo Jeong-bok and Yang Hyang-ja also noted that the Democratic Party candidates were not responding to requests for debates.
