Daejeon Mayoral Candidates Kick Off Race with Endorsements

Ahead of the June 3 local elections, candidates from both ruling and opposition parties in Daejeon, having completed their registration, have entered the competition by securing declarations of support.

The People Power Party candidate's camp announced that they have secured support declarations from labor groups, disability organizations, and members of traditional market merchant associations.

The Democratic Party of Korea's Daejeon mayoral candidate, Heo Tae-jeong, has also seen a wave of support declarations, particularly from the scientific and labor communities. His camp reported that experts and frontline workers from various fields are forming a consensus on the policy direction.
