Ruling and Opposition Party Leaders Gather in Gwangju for 5.18 Memorial Ceremony
On the 18th, the 46th anniversary of the 5.18 Democratization Movement, leaders from major political parties will gather in Gwangju to attend the memorial ceremony.
Before attending the ceremony, the Democratic Party's leadership is scheduled to visit the National 5.18 Cemetery for a tribute and hold an on-site central election committee meeting at the campaign office for Im Taek, the candidate for Gwangju Dong-gu Mayor.
Jang Dong-hyuk, standing election committee chairman of the People Power Party, will also attend the 5.18 Democratization Movement Memorial Ceremony on this day.
The Jo Guk Innovation Party announced that party leader Cho Kuk and floor leader Seo Wang-jin will visit Gwangju on the 18th.
