Independent lawmaker Han Dong-hoon dismissed calls for a re-election in connection with the ballot shortage during the June 3 local elections, stressing the need to improve the electoral system itself. Meeting with reporters on the 12th, Han stated, "Politics is a mission to embody the public's will and institutionally achieve reforms that are realistically possible," and strongly criticized attempts to capitalize on election results for personal political gain and the behaviors that encourage them.

Han shared that he and Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon agreed during a phone call that conservative politics must look toward the future. He expressed concern that People Power Party leader Jang Dong-hyuk's lone push for a re-vote is a last-ditch effort for survival, potentially undermining the party's legitimacy by dragging the entire conservative camp into conspiracy theories. He pointed out that politics relying on factional logic and conspiracy theories struggles to gain voter trust.

Sixty percent of respondents expressed dissatisfaction with the results of the June 3 local elections, with election management issues (ballot shortage 18%, election fraud 13%) cited as major causes for discontent.
