Prime Minister Kim Min-seok Visits Namhae to Review Rural Basic Income Project

Prime Minister Kim Min-seok visited Namhae County, Gyeongsangnam-do, on the 17th to inspect the operational status of the rural basic income pilot project and examine its background.

Prime Minister Kim ordered a thorough monitoring of on-site reactions to the ongoing rural basic income pilot project in Namhae County and a comprehensive analysis of the newly incoming population to improve the project. He stated that the pilot project should contribute to establishing a virtuous cycle structure that leads to expanded local resident consumption, increased income for farmers and fishermen, and local re-consumption.

Furthermore, Prime Minister Kim added that measures should be sought to identify and disseminate success cases like Namhae County's to other regions.
