Chung Chun-rai Visits Former President Moon Jae-in After Resigning as DP Leader

Chung Chun-rai, former leader of the Democratic Party of Korea (DPK), revealed that he visited former President Moon Jae-in after stepping down from his leadership position. Chung stated that he received encouragement from former President Moon immediately after his resignation.

Kim Min-seok, Song Young-gil, and Chung Chun-rai are being mentioned as potential contenders for the next leadership of the Democratic Party, while Kim Eo-jun has brought up former Prime Minister Lee Nak-yon.

Cho Gap-je characterized the factional conflict within the Democratic Party as a 'senseless fight over rice bowls.' He pointed out that the conflict between party leader Lee Jae-myung and Chung Chun-rai could also be perceived as such a struggle, and he attached significance to Chung Chun-rai's meeting with former President Moon Jae-in.
