Defense Tech Protection Conference Discusses Strengthening International Cooperation

The Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) held the '2026 Defense Industry Technology Protection Conference' on the 26th at the Conrad Hotel in Yeouido, Seoul, to respond to the increasing threat of advanced technology leaks.

The conference saw the participation of over 300 individuals, including government officials from key countries such as the United States, Canada, and Spain, and experts in domestic export control and defense technology protection, who discussed international cooperation measures.

Michael Laychock, Director of the Defense Technology Security Administration's (DTSA) Defense Technology Protection Office, delivered the keynote speech, and trends in technology protection and export control policies from Canada and Spain were also presented.
